CheeseFest
Held in Rymill Park, Murlawirrapurka, CheeseFest is South Australia’s longest running annual cheese, food and wine festival. This year, it takes place on Friday 14th October. CheeseFest is a widely loved event which brings together 70 food and beverage stalls, each showcasing produce alongside live music and a bustling atmosphere. Everything from food, wine, beer, spirits and much more can be found from local artisan and national food producers.
Octoberfest in the Gardens
On the 1st October, it will be time to put on those Lederhosen and dirndls, grab stein of beer and imagine yourself partying in Germany. Octoberfest in the Gardens is one of Australia’s most fun, crazy and chaotic events where you will be able to enjoy huge beer tents, great performers, live music and competitions. To help soak up the beer you will find may authentic food stalls from which to enjoy sauerkraut, pork knuckles, Bavarian meatloaf plus many other German dishes. Grenache Fest 2022
This is one for the red wine lovers! Start off your spring right, with red wine and merriment with fellow wine drinkers. Taking place on September 10th pop up wine market, Grenache Fest, celebrates one of the less famous red wines from the region yet despite this, warrants its own festival. At Grenache Fest wander around sipping on a glass of Grenache while meeting some of the smaller and more boutique producers from South Australia. With live music and gourmet food thrown in, this upcoming event is one not to be missed.
The Handpicked Festival
Taking place this year on the 12th November on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula is the fabulous Handpicked Festival. Prepare for a magical event that merges great music, tasty food and an array of wines together with amazing vibes and a total sensory overload. Find yourself dancing barefoot amongst the vineyards and gum trees of Lake Breeze Wines. Place your picnic blanket and enjoy some delicious food from one of the many local food trucks while listening to tunes from Australia’s top musicians. This is surely one of Adelaide’s most exciting upcoming food and wine events.
Winter Weekends
