All about Kewarra Beach Resort
Kewarra Beach Resort is a tranquil retreat situated between the remarkable Great Barrier Reef and the lush tropical rainforests of North Queensland. Nestled within 33 acres of tropical gardens, the resort offers various accommodation options including villas, bungalows, and spacious suites.
Guests can enjoy access to a private beach, take leisurely walks around the expansive grounds, or relax by the resort pool, all whilst immersed in the tropical vibes of North Queensland. Conveniently located near Cairns Airport, the resort provides easy access to Palm Cove and offers local dining options and a range of activities such as beach sports and nature tours.
Kewarra Beach Resort future plans
Kewarra closed in May 2023 for an incredible refurbishment that will see significant upgrades. Encompassing substantial enhancements to room facilities and the introduction of a new food and beverage concept, the resort will become a luxury option for guests visiting the region. Managed by 1834 Hotels, the repositioning of the resort will attract both new and existing markets to Cairns (only 20 minutes away).
Upgraded guest rooms will feature modern amenities and furnishings, meanwhile the pool area will be transformed with the addition of cabanas and sun lounges, while a new restaurant concept will offer delectable local produce and fresh seafood. The resort will also offer enhanced outdoor spaces for hosting events and weddings, along with a range of recreational activities such as a day spa, walking and bike trails, and yoga classes.
How long will the Kewarra Beach Resort refurbishment take?
With a vision to breathe new life into the resort, this luxurious retreat is temporarily closed (starting May 14th, 2023). The extensive renovation project is expected to take 18 months, with completion scheduled for late 2024. During this time, Kewarra Beach Resort will remain closed while construction takes place – ensuring that upon reopening, guests can enjoy all the new features in a deluxe environment.
